We are part of the Central Borders Housing Group and are the largest social landlord in the area. We work hard to maintain and improve residents’ homes. We spend over £7 million each year ensuring that homes are modern, safe and comfortable for people.
But it’s not just about the properties we manage. We also care about local neighbourhoods, and spend over a million pounds each year on work outside customers’ homes. Cutting grass, adapting people’s homes, supporting play schemes, organising fundraising events and helping set up local tenants’ groups are all examples of ways that we regularly help our customers.
We work with residents in their homes, in villages, on estates and even in conservation areas; our philosophy is to go out to the customer and do business in a way that suits their needs.
We are also a major employer in South Staffordshire with around 200 people working for the Association. Our team includes housing officers, repairs staff, money advisors, supported living co-ordinators and our own carpenters and plumbers.
Our team works hard and cares about our customers. That’s why we have received awards for employment, quality of customer service and health and safety. We are also a member of the Employment Service Positive About Disabled People scheme.
