Bridgnorth District

Bridgnorth is a local government district in Shropshire. Its main town is Bridgnorth and other towns in its area are Much Wenlock, Shifnal and Broseley. The villages of Albrighton and Sheriffhales as well as RAF Cosford are also in the district.

Shifnal

Shifnal was once an important staging post on the London to Holyhead route. It is a small market town, in the district of Bridgnorth, with some quaint black and white buildings still surviving amongst the more modern developments.

It has excellent access to rail and motorway networks. Travelling to Shrewsbury, Wales, the West Midlands and the North is simplified by the close proximity of the M54, A5 and A41 and a rail service links Shifnal to Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and Birmingham, with connections to London.
