External Audit

It is a legal requirement that the Association, like every registered social landlord, has an annual financial audit by an independent qualified person or firm of auditors. are the current External Auditors.

The main purpose of this is to check that the Association's published accounts give a true and fair view of its financial position. Secondly the auditors provide a management letter which states whether the audit has uncovered any weaknesses in accounting systems, financial controls, accounting policies, and compliance with legislation, regulation, and standards. Again, the external audit provides a safeguard to Board Members about the financial state of the Association.

The Association's External Auditors are appointed by the shareholding membership each year at the Annual General Meeting. PricewaterhouseCoopers are the current External Auditors.
