South Staffordshire Housing Association Supports Local Team

Wheaton Aston Wanderers’ new manager Alun Watts has got off to a fine start by securing a sponsorship deal with a local housing association.

Alun says “I am delighted that South Staffordshire Housing Association has donated funds for a new kit for the first team and reserve players. This will be used in all home and away games. Hopefully it will bring us luck!”

Sue Rowley, Managing Director of South Staffordshire Housing Association said: “South Staffordshire Housing Association is working at the heart of the community, with younger and older people. We are keen to sponsor local groups in projects which promote healthy lifestyles and positive physical activities.”

South Staffordshire Housing Association is currently developing retirement properties in Wheaton Aston for part-buy, part-rent, enabling people to move to appropriate accommodation for their needs.

South Staffordshire Housing Association Plays its Part in Perton

South Staffordshire Housing Association has part-funded a brand new play area for the youngsters of Perton. The £2000 donation from the local housing association was put into the pot containing a Big Lottery Fund windfall and cash injections from Goodyear, South Staffordshire Council, Staffordshire County Council’s Youth Bank and from a County Councillor.

South Staffordshire Housing Association Managing director, Sue Rowley said: “We are delighted to be able to support this initiative. We work at the heart of communities and we believe that providing healthy and positive physical activities for children is a key to sustainable neighbourhoods. Perton Parish Council did a brilliant job in rallying the community behind this project and we are pleased to have played a role.”
