What it Covers
This statement covers the treatment of personally identifiable information that is collected about you when you are visiting our website. This refers to our Data Protection Policy which covers all aspects of collection and use of personal information by the Association.
Information Collection and Use
The Association’s website and most of the services provided through the site can be accessed without telling us who you are or providing any personally identifiable information, subject to the following:
- Any information entered into a form on the website or emailed to the Association may contain personal information which will be transmitted to the Association securely and treated in accordance with the Association’s Data Protection and Confidentiality Policies;
- Although the Association provides the ability to make payments via its website, this is through an external secure service provider (Alliance & Leicester plc) which is responsible for processing your credit or debit card details through a highly secure e-payment method. The Association will only receive details of the amount received and a reference number to identify the account to which it relates;
- The Association may place a small program (“a cookie”) on your computer to help remember settings for your next visit (such as colour and text size preferences). This cookie does not contain any personal information about you and only identifies your computer. It also has a fixed expiry date of 30 days from the date of your visit to the website, after which it is no longer available.
