Tenant Partnership Elections 2008

Parish: Brewood, Coven and Bishopswood

This year, following the annual round of nominations to the Tenant Partnership, the Association is holding an election for a representative to cover the parish of Brewood, Coven and Bishopswood. Details of the candidates and their statements appear below.

Voting papers have been circulated by post to all tenants within the parish and should be returned to the Association on or before the deadline stated.

 Candidates' Statements

Name: Jean Shelton
Address: Brewood
Statement: I have lived in the Coven/Brewood area for over 45 years. I was invited to be a tenants representative some 6 years ago and have helped many tenants, with new kitchens, bathrooms/shower rooms, grounds and general maintenance, decorating and many other issues, helping tenants in bungalows, flats and houses where alterations are ongoing, making communal areas cleaner and lighter. Have been involved with the voluntary services, helping the elderly keep mobile and safe in their homes.
Thank you for your support and hope you will continue to do so.

Name: Moira Alden-Court
Address: Coven
Statement: I would like to be your representative on the Tenant Partnership. I am happy to serve all villages but I actually believe each village should have its own representative.
As a local councillor I do get involved with a lot of issues with local people, housing just one of many, and I manage to solve them satisfactorily.  If on occasion I cannot then I usually know a 'man that can'.
I believe that I have a lot to offer to Tenants and the Association and feel there is still a lot that could be achieved in partnership with the Association.

Deadline for Voting is 21st May 2008
