Helping Tenants Remain Independent

By providing a range of adaptations to your homes, we can greatly enhance quality of life and help older residents stay independent in their own homes

Minor Adaptations without Delay

These can be carried out to your home without an occupational therapist’s assessment. These usually cost less than £1000, and typically are internal grab rails, additional stair rails, external handrails or lever taps. Wherever possible we will provide this within seven days of your request.

Intermediate adaptations

These are works such as external ramps, door widening, raised electrical sockets or smoke alarms for hearing or visually impaired tenants and will be provided within 28 days of your request.

Level Access Showers Programme

We aim that at least 50 level access showers are fitted in our bungalows each year. This work is carried out in partnership with South Staffordshire Council.

To qualify for this you need to be assessed by an Occupational Therapist and apply for a Disabled Facilities Grant from South Staffordshire Council. If you are successful you will be contacted for a date to be arranged for the level access shower to be fitted.

Disabled Facilities Grant

You can apply for assistance for major adaptations from your local council. To qualify a form has to be completed and an assessment of your financial situation and physical condition is then made. For further information please contact your council.
