Local woman promotes residents interests

Mrs Moira Alden-Court is the latest local resident to join South Staffordshire Housing Association’s (SSHA) Tenant Partnership.

Mrs Alden-Court, who lives in Coven, will join 19 other residents on the organisation’s Tenant Partnership. The Partnership is just one way residents can have their say in how their housing services are run. Members work with staff to improve housing services and create neighbourhoods where people can live safely and securely in their homes.

Director of neighbourhood services, Adrian Eggington said: “We are delighted that people are willing to give up the time and energy to promote residents’ interests. We record high levels of tenant satisfaction with our services, but who better to help us achieve even higher results than residents themselves.” Mrs Alden-Court hopes to use her local knowledge to further improve her neighbourhood. She says: “People tend to come to me with their concerns, so I thought I could be effective as a Tenant Representative.”
