South Staffordshire Housing Association (SSHA) has welcomed two new Neighbourhood Involvement Officers.
Jackie Ilic and Becky Raven-Smith will be working with tenants and local residents to build communities and strengthen local neighbourhoods. They are part of a team tasked with promoting and delivering community-wide improvements across South Staffordshire.
Speaking of their appointment Sue Rowley, managing director said: "This is an exciting new initiative for SSHA. The creation of these new roles is a step away from the traditional way of delivering local housing services.
"Jackie and Becky’s job will be to work with people and communities to find out what they need to improve local issues, be involved in decisions about their homes and help them thrive in their communities."
Both Jackie and Becky bring with them a wealth of expertise. Jackie has almost four years experience of working with local residents, as well as extensive knowledge of the voluntary sector where she specialised in supporting community and voluntary groups.
Becky is experienced in delivering customer-facing services and in helping people to help themselves. She understands what it is they want and works with them to achieve that.
