SSHA Sings Trinity Skills Praises

South Staffordshire Housing Association (SSHA) has donated a brand new set of t-shirts to Flame, a performance group consisting of students with learning difficulties in Staffordshire.

The choir, run by Trinity Skills for Life a group of volunteers based in Stone, Staffordshire, performs for churches, day centres and schools, inspiring audiences with their ability to sign and sing beautifully, despite many of them having verbal communication difficulties.

Jan Goode, director of customer services at SSHA, comments: “We are committed to helping groups such as Flame, as they give so much to our local community. The passion they have for singing and sharing music is inspirational and we are happy to support them as they perform across the region.”

Alison Lloyd, volunteer teacher at Trinity Skills for Life, comments: “We are so grateful to everyone that has supported Flame. The t-shirts provided by SSHA will give these young people pride in the way they look on stage, as well as giving them a real sense of identity and belonging.”

For further information about Flame or the Trinity Skills for Life scheme contact Alison Lloyd on 01785 811170.
