Deansfield House opened in 1991 on the site of the former Victorian-built Deansfield House and has 19 apartments within the new building, six are single person apartments and 13 are two-person apartments. There are also a 24 two bedroom flats in blocks within the grounds.

Facilities include a secure cctv door entry system, communal lounge and kitchen, guest bedroom, launderette, shower facilities, hairdressing facilities and access to digital television. All properties are covered by 365 day, 24hr emergency alarm system and there is a non resident Supported Living Co-ordinator

Deansfield House is close to local amenities with a bus stop within 10 yards and local shops and the post office within a short walking distance. The mobile library visits each month.
