Housing Plus Group recognises success

Housing Plus Group recognises success

The Housing Plus Group, SSHA's parent organisation and one of South Staffordshire’s biggest employers, has presented its annual staff awards.

The Group recognised teams and individuals who had delivered outstanding service for customers and made a crucial impact on the business.

“People work really hard putting our values into practice,” said Group CEO Debbie Griffiths, “They do this year-round and it is wonderful to be able to formally highlight the contribution of inspiring colleagues.”

Among those celebrated was Alison Lawson who works for South Staffordshire HA who was , named Customer Champion. She said that she was brought up by her parents to treat people the way that she herself wanted to be treated: “That’s the way I approach customer service. I want to listen, to give people time and to provide clear answers to enquiries.”

Customer service is also central to the work of the overall Employee of the Year, Paul Green. Carpenter Paul is part of the Property Care team and is said by his colleagues to be: “At the end of the phone whenever we need him, always doing his best to help in an emergency. The feedback he receives from tenants is excellent.”

The Compliance team, responsible for keeping tenants safe in their homes, received an award recognising their hard work carrying out safety checks on 6,000 properties, while winner care and support co-ordinator Tracy Tonks who is part of the Care Plus team was hailed “a role model for the organisation”.
